Cape Cod is a very special place to me - growing up with grandparents that retired to the area, I've been lucky enough to get to go there 3-4 times a year for as long as I can remember. Memories of catching minnows, chasing the Nauset waves, digging for clams with my dad, and late night lobster feasts are some of the best of my childhood.

Things are quite different these days - unfortunately, with my dad and my pop gone and with me and all of my siblings married and starting our own families, the traditions and get-togethers have changed quite a lot. But it will always be special to me, and I'm hoping I can start some new traditions there with my boys. So, taking Oliver to Skaket Beach at sunset last week was truly a joy to see him discovering this magical place and just generally having a blast. I felt like a kid again. Living vicariously through our children and recreating memories has to be one of the greatest things about parenthood.
